BPI Inc. has advanced to Round 2 of the Business Journals #socialmadness 2013 contest. The business only competition is used to help spotlight best social media practices and success stories in the business community. This is the second year that we have entered the competition. Last year we did not make it out of the first round.
From the FAQ on the website:
The method for doing so is this fun corporate challenge, which taps into the business community’s love of competition as well as its thirst for learning. Ultimately, by covering companies and their successful social-media techniques, Social Madness is about helping our readers be more successful in the marketplace.
In the first two weeks we have witnessed a great response both internally and externally to our social media efforts. It has been very exciting thus far.
The Business Journal created their own algorithm that gauges votes on their website (shameless plug to vote for BPI Inc) as well as social engagement on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. The key piece is that Facebook company page likes, Twitter followers, LinkedIn connections, and Google followers will not count in the algorithm. But as we all know the page like/followers/connection help update show in your main feed or stream. Social engagement is defined as likes, comments, and shares of a company’s posts by their followers.
Round 2 starts today. It is now a head to head bracket challenge. Winner advances.
Thanks for your continued support and your votes.
